I had some trouble sending a notification email from backup exec, and was looking for a debug tool to look behind the screens what was going on.

1. Go to the Backup Exec install directory and double-click on SgMon.exe  

2. Select  - Job Engine, RAWS, Agent Browser - Backup Exec Server - Administration Console and keep SGmon minimized.  

3. Go to Tools - Recipients - Select a User - Properties - Test (to send a test notification)

4. Check if you received the notification?

5. In my case i couldn't relay
